Dr. Jimi Grover is an artist from the South Shore of Long Island. He is also an educator, sailor, father, and husband. Jimi's art has been featured at the Point O'Woods art shows on Fire Island, the West Islip Public Library Gallery, and the historical society of Babylon Village. Jimi finds inspiration for his art from nature, harmony of the sea, and the pure beauty of geometry.
From an early age, Jimi found a niche for "making" in his father's woodshop. It was there that he fostered a passion for creating using a variety of tools and mediums. As an undergrad at U. Rhode Island, Jimi took a variety of art electives which helped him to push his boundaries. Some of Jimi's wildest creations include dozens of custom skateboards for clients, totem poles, large murals, and mind-bending sculptures.
Jimi also spent time writing a column titled "Windspired" for Great South Bay Magazine. You can read some of Jimi's work in the publications section.
